For 91 Days in Saigon

Adventures, anecdotes and advice from three months exploring Ho Chi Minh City

For 91 Days we lived in Ho Chi Minh City, otherwise known as Saigon, in southern Vietnam. Vibrant, chaotic, and historic, we uncovered more than enough to keep us busy for three months.
Whether you're planning your own journey to Vietnam, or are just interested in seeing what makes it such a special country, our articles and photographs should help you out.

The House of Huynh Thuy Le

The most stunning residence in Sadec is the former house of Huynh Thuy Le, made famous by Maugerite Duras' semi-autobiographical novel, The Lover. We went to Saigon's most well-known venue, the Golden Dragon Theater, to check out one of the shows.

So we've had to become familiar the local market, or "chợ". And the market's vendors have had to become familiar with us. Trust is a two-way street, people... and Saigon's markets are worlds unto themselves.
